For a name like “Classic” the Ram 1500 Classic has not been around for too long. At least, it hasn’t used the name “Classic” for more than a few years. Back in 2009 the Ram 1500 entered its fourth generation with a redesign that managed to preserve some motifs that call back to the very earliest days of pickup trucks. That same fourth generation lives on today as the Ram 1500 Classic while the fifth generation began in 2019 and continues under the simpler “Ram 1500” name.
Unlike the flagship Ram 1500 line, the Ram 1500 Classic doesn’t have a wide variety of trim levels, and for good reason. The purpose of the Ram 1500 Classic is to preserve the look, feel, and performance of a design so well-loved it endured and helped shape an entire decade of automotive change. The changes between each trim are significant in price as well as features, so read the chart below to learn more about what makes each trim level of the 2020 Ram 1500 Classic special.
To best serve the loyal fans of the fourth generation of Ram 1500 trucks, Ram limited the first model year of the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic to only two trim levels. The Express and the Warlock, two of the same trim levels in the chart above, were the only trim levels available for the 2019 model year of the Ram 1500 Classic.
