Towing Power of Popular Truck Models
There are some real monsters available in the truck market these days. Vehicles that can tackle work or play without pausing for a moment, and offering towing power that boggles the mind. That said, which of these monster work vehicles is the strongest one available for you? That’s what we’re looking to answer today! Continue reading below to find out!
What Trucks We’ll be Comparing
After looking at the market and what trucks are available in it, we’ve found at least four that stand out the most. These trucks are the Ford F-series Super Duty, Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD, GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD, and the Ram 2500/3500. They are all often found at job sites across the world, and for good reason! They have a ton of power to offer you.
However, these trucks are not cheap. The lowest starting price among them belongs to the Ram 2500, which starts at $34,340. Price aside, which of these trucks is actually the strongest one available?
Most Powerful Truck on the Market
The strongest of all these trucks is the Ford F-series Super Duty, which isn’t that much of a surprise given Ford’s track record of power. It offers the highest towing capacity available, just barely beating out the competition. This is demonstrated both on the F-250 trim, which offers a towing capacity of 18,600 lbs and on the F-450 trim, which offers 32,500 lbs of towing power.
The Ram 2500/3500 is the second strongest truck overall, featuring a towing power of 31,210 lbs on the 3500 trim. This makes it a tough competitor to the Ford F-series Super Duty as it’s very close in performance and, as mentioned above, the cheapest truck on our list.
Overall, each of these trucks brings their own benefit to the table. Some handle better or offer more power, but each is guaranteed to be an excellent pick for you! To learn more about these trucks, or to see what trucks we offer, contact us at AutoMax today!
