What Are the Best-Selling Trucks in 2020?

Most people already know that the best-selling truck for most of the last fifty years has been the Ford F-Series, especially the American icon, the F-150. The first quarter of 2020 doesn’t look different on that point, but in recent years, a few truck makers have shaken up the competition. Read on to learn more about truck trends in the United States in 2020.

What Are the Top 5 Trucks?

The first quarter of 2020 saw the F-Series on top as usual, with the Chevrolet Silverado and Ram pickups at second and third respectively, but not a lot of space between them. The Toyota Tacoma got a hair’s lead over the GMC Sierra. To put it all in perspective, the first quarter of 2019 put the trucks in this order, F-Series, Ram trucks, Silverado, Tacoma, and Sierra.

How Well Are Ram Trucks Selling in 2020?

The last few years have been very good for Ram. A restructuring to the way they build, design, and sell trucks lead to them rising up to a firm second place. So far in 2020, the Silverado, which has long been second only to the F-Series, got back up above Ram. Still, the Ram name is consistently getting top-3 recognition and far more respect in the truck community than ever before.

Are GMC Trucks Selling Well in 2020?

Ram isn’t the only truck maker shaking up the competition. GMC has recently doubled down on its marketing strategy to promote the Sierra pickup truck as a premium truck. In many ways, this reflects the success Ram has had by producing more luxurious cabins and loading them up with technology.

How Well is the Jeep Gladiator Selling in 2020?

While every automaker is working hard for their share of the massive SUV market right now, the most iconic SUV maker in history is branching out into trucks. The Jeep Gladiator looks like a Wrangler with a truck bed on it. That idea may not have been appealing to some in the past, but it has caught on in early 2020 due to a successful ad campaign during the Super Bowl and plenty of follow-up commercials. Despite only launching in late 2019, the Gladiator sits at number 9 in a list of the top 10 selling trucks, putting it above the Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Titan, and GMC Canyon.
